HSU OECTA is.....

The Halton affiliate of the Ontario English Catholic Teachers Association.

We bargain collective agreements for Halton's 700+ Catholic secondary teachers.  We are also responsible for bargaining wage and working conditions for secondary occasional teachers in Halton.  Together we represent almost 1000 employees over two collective agreements.  Wage, working conditions, benefits and rights issues are key themes in our collective agreements and we bargain regularly to ensure the maintenance and enhancement of these items.. 

Negotiating is one thing, protecting those rights is another.  HSU-OECTA works with the Board and school administrative teams to ensure that teacher rights are adhered to and respected.  The grievance process provides an avenue for appeal should there be disagreement.  Please contact us in the office should you feel your rights are being violated.

Halton Secondary OECTA is an organization that provides a range of services that reaches far beyond  bargaining and negotiation.
